Full Transcript (Hour 1, Segment 2) Charlie James: All right, let's go to the phones. We're going to talk to Larry in Cowpens. Larry, welcome. How you doing, bud? Larry: All right, you? Charlie James: I'm doing good, man. What's up? Larry: I had a question. Um, if you didn't show up for work for three months and didn't get in touch with the people you work for and let them know what was going on, um, would you continue to be paid? Charlie James: Uh, no sir, I would not. Larry: Okay, that's—I just—that's a thought. Charlie James: I wouldn't—I would not be paid. In fact, they would just tell me, "Hey, hey, you know, you've taken so much time off, why don't you just stay off?" Yeah, but here's—here's Mitch McConnell three months out, Senate's back in session now, nothing. No Mitch McConnell. Unbelievable. I appreciate it, Larry. Thank you, buddy. Uh, so somebody said this over on the text line: "Charlie, South Carolina GOP leads the country with the 'Let's not vote' syndrome." Okay. My reply to that is: Can you blame us? I mean, when you really look at what we have to vote for—I mean, we've got—look at our state legislature. And I've told you folks this time and time again, and I don't—I don't know if—I don't know if people get it, I don't know if they understand, maybe if it goes over their head or what, but when I say that we in South Carolina can blame none of our problems on the Democrats, that's exactly what I mean. Every single problem that we have—the roads, the taxes, the—the huge growth in government, all of that stuff—is directly caused by the establishment in Columbia. And those establishment Republicans run everything. Let me—and how—so listen, so we should, here in South Carolina, we should not have a single problem. We shouldn't. If we truly had a conservative legislature. "But Charlie, those—those Democrats..." No, Democrats—no! Democrats can't do a darn thing in South Carolina. "Oh, well, I know, Charlie, it's the—it's the Freedom Caucus." No, no, no, no! Not the Freedom Caucus. In fact, if—and this doesn't happen, but if—everybody that was a Democrat in Columbia and everybody that was a Freedom Caucus member in Columbia, if they all voted against a bill, it would still pass because of the Republican—the size of the Republican Caucus in Columbia. It would pass easily. Very easily. So when you look at all the issues that we have, everything—everything that these people are campaigning for... They're out there—I saw Murrell Smith going out putting out yard signs and all that junk today. It's like, "Oh, vote for me because..." Because why? You guys literally are causing the problems here in South Carolina. And until we get rid of those people, your problems are not going to be solved. Until we do little things, little, simple things like closing the primaries, your problems are not going to be solved. Somebody wanted to know if Joey Hudson was going to be involved this time around. I don't know. I have no idea. And that's the thing, with this debate that's coming up on October the 11th, I don't know who the moderators are going to be. I don't know what questions are going to be asked. But I know one thing: Darling Graham better be on the top of her game that night, because I predict there's only going to be one debate. I think this is going to be it. So she needs to go in there and she needs to hit a home run on every single question. There can't be any of this, you know, "Oh, I'm... You know, foreign policy is not my thing, but I support the troops," and all of that. It can't be any of that. You've got to have real, substantive responses, or this race is going to be very, very tight. Very, very tight. "Charlie, that's why it is grassroots movement to help Ralph. I know the people spearheading it personally. We have to drain the swamp." I don't know, I think you guys are getting a lot of help from the folks on the left in—in—in trying to get people to vote for Ralph Norman. I mean, just think ...
