Full Transcript Charlie James: All right, the polls are closed! However, if you are still in line, you CAN vote! Do not go home, cast your ballot! All right, special election coverage going on tonight. We have no results as of right now, of course, as you can imagine. So let's go to Isaac in Greer. Isaac, welcome. Isaac: All right, I was the last person in line—I usually vote at Riverside High School—547! Charlie James: That's not bad! Isaac: Yeah, I was like, that's pretty good. Usually somewhere in the 300s. Ralph Norman! Charlie James: All right, Isaac, I appreciate that. Thank you very much. Now I—and I said before, I really believe that Darlene Graham is driving this voter turnout. Now, either positively or negatively, I believe that the fact that she is on the ballot has got people getting out there and voting. Because, I mean, I—I mean, honestly, some of the numbers I've been hearing today, and I'll—I'll say it again, I do not believe that we're going to be absolutely blown away by the voter turnout today. But I don't believe we're going to be all that disappointed either. I think this is going to be a really good showing. Let's go to James in Simpsonville. James, welcome. James: Hey, Charlie. I just got done voting in Simpsonville at the Calvary Baptist Church. I was—I got there at 6:59! Charlie James: Oh, wow! You cut it close! James: I got stuck at work, and I—I did a little bit of speeding, and I walked in, and I heard them locking the door behind me! Charlie James: Oh, my goodness! You just got—I mean, you were literally under the wire. Um, so, I mean, did you know what—what—what number voter you were? James: I did! I—I took note of it, I was listening to you on the way there. I was voter 177, which I feel like is a little low for this part of Simpsonville. I don't know why these people aren't getting out to vote. Charlie James: Yeah, I know, I understand. We've had both, uh, both reports. I appreciate it, James. Uh, going to go to Richard in Dallas. Richard, what's going on, my my friend? Richard: Hey, uh, Charlie, I've been listening to your show a long time. I really enjoy it, all your listeners, everything. I know it revolves around the election now, but I believe that you may have set a record for first-time callers on this show tonight! Charlie James: I think I did. I think today eclipsed the old record, absolutely! Richard: Listen, and not only that, I mean, that's just a showing of of how many people listen. And what—and just think about whenever you guys get on that Sirius—Sirius-type signal to where your broadcast what, everywhere? (laughter) Is is that— Charlie James: Yeah, yeah, we don't—we don't know when we're going to be on SiriusXM Radio, but that is the plan, yes. Richard: It's coming though, ain't it? It's coming! But, uh, I was 160 in a community of about 300, and they told me at the polls that we were already double what we were in the actual primary. Charlie James: Wow! That's shocking! Logan: Yes, we were actually well above the the normal. Charlie James: That is crazy. That is crazy. I appreciate it, Logan. Good job, you folks in Abbeville.
