Welcome to the program, and welcome U.S. Senate candidate Mark Lynch, who joins us right now. Mark, welcome to the program. Hope you're doing well, sir. Mark Lynch: I'm doing great, Charlie. Thank you so much for what y'all do and for having me on your great show this afternoon. Charlie James: Well, thank you! Uh, less than 15 hours from now, people are going to be going to the polls to vote for their next Republican candidate for U.S. Senate. Why should they vote for you, Mark? Mark Lynch: Well, we have a—we have a chance, the voters do, to exercise their authority and their rights to—to bring term limits to these career politicians. I'm an outsider. I'm—I'm just a successful businessman that was willing to throw my name in the hat to run to make a real difference, and bring God's principles back to Congress and constitutional values to—to—to make good decisions for the people of South Carolina representing them in D.C. So we have a great opportunity. Charlie James: So when you look at the—and I—as you know, Senate, they're—they're gone. Tim Scott's at the beach somewhere. They could have stayed and fought uh, for a lot of the President's initiatives. Would you have stayed in Congress until the—the—the SAVE America Act is passed? Mark Lynch: Absolutely. You know, I've been—I've been saying this for over probably seven months now, since we've been in this race that we started over two years ago. And uh, when I got in, Lindsey was still the incumbent, and I had to go up against the machine and over $50 million he spent trashing me. But uh, you know, nobody talks about it, but I did. We need to remove John Thune or the parliamentarian or whatever the problems are that would dare hold up the common-sense bill for a SAVE Act. And, you know, the SAVE Act's a symptom of all these guys letting all these illegal aliens into the country. The Democrats leave the borders open, and then some of our Republicans grant mass amnesty to all of them. So we've got criminals and terrorists and drug cartel people in our country. So we've got to have ID and proof of citizenship with the mess we've all created. Charlie James: It doesn't seem like that's—that's uh, you know, really up for debate. I mean, we know that. But there's—there's more than just the SAVE America Act. There are over 200 bills sitting in the Senate right now that Thune refuses to move on. Do we do away with the filibuster and get the President's initiatives passed? Mark Lynch: 100%. We can't filibuster in our business, and we definitely can't close and go home for 45 days like we've closed the government down before and uh, take a break and put a sign on the door, "Sorry for the inconvenience, we went home." (Laughter) Yeah. It's ridiculous. Charlie James: So, I mean—I mean, we've got so many problems in this country, and I—I do blame the Senate for a lot of the—well, most of the—the logjam. What would you like to see done in, let's say, the first 100 days of your being senator? Mark Lynch: Well, the first thing definitely, if the SAVE Act's not passed yet, we would have to get that done for sure. I would want to analyze the numbers of how many illegal aliens are still here, and, you know, we've had the 287(g) program to help uh, assist our sheriff's deputies in Greenville County and our police in Greenville County to arrest, detain, and deport illegal aliens, because Tom Homan's uh, men can't do it all. And we haven't, you know, tuned into that and uh, end ...
