Charlie James: 85 days until the midterms. 80... 5 days. And our Senate has done the least amount of work than any Senate over the past 70 years. Think about that. They have sent less than 40 bills to the President's desk. And everybody talks about, "Oh, well, after the midterms, Donald Trump's going to be a lame-duck president." Hell, he's been a lame-duck president since he was sworn in for the second time. Because we've got a leadership in the Senate... First of all, you know, yeah... (Chuckles) Oh my goodness. I mean, John Thune has just been one giant obstructionist to Donald Trump. And he knows it. He's aware of it. So now they won't even get the Save America Act passed. So there was—I mean, there was a chance. Just as a protest, just as somebody standing up there and saying, "Listen, I don't like the way things are being run around here, so I'm going to stay in Washington until the Save America Act gets passed." And there were over 20 senators that are actually doing that. So not only does John Thune dismiss the Senate, but he also puts in these pro—yeah, pro forma sessions of the Senate so Donald Trump can't make any recess appointments. That's real cool. That's—that's glorious, isn't it? Uh, way to go. Good job. That's support, isn't it? So he does that on purpose. And they've done that every time they've—they've gone on vacation. So... so here closer to home, we've got Traveling Tim Scott. Traveling Tim Scott could have stayed behind in Washington. He could have called for others to stay behind with him—a man who is now our senior senator from South Carolina—but he doesn't. What does Traveling Tim Scott do? Well, he travels. That's what he does. And he's got the nerve to go on with his buddy Trey Gowdy. I want you to listen to this. This is Tim Scott over on Trey Gowdy. Listen, listen, listen. Tim Scott (clip): Yeah. Well, Trey, I got to say that when—when someone tells you who they are, believe them. The Democrats have been consistently saying they don't want to just get rid of the filibuster these days, they actually want to get rid of the Senate. But beyond that, they want to make sure that Puerto Rico and D.C. become states. They want to make sure that they pack the Supreme Court until they have a liberal, crazy progressive majority. The only way to stop that from happening—and I believe them, Trey—is to win elections. Charlie James: Okay. "To win elections." But here's the thing, Tim Scott: I don't know, I—I thought maybe you were smarter than this, but obviously I was mistaken. In order to win elections, you have to be able to go to the electorate and say, "Look what we've done! Look what we've done to benefit you!" If you want Republicans to show up, you've got to show them that you've actually put up a fight. There was no fight. There is no fight in Tim Scott. There's absolutely...
