Mom, Mom and I here in Taylors, we've always had a discussion about Char—about, uh, Senator Graham. Um, one word describe him is an opportunist. Charlie James: Yeah, but, in, in what way? Charlie James: Yeah, but I mean, that's the thing though. I mean, the, the—and I appreciate it, Mark. There's a lot of talk today about how Lindsey Graham changed after the death of John McCain. I, I, I didn't see a whole lot of change in Lindsey. The only thing that I saw that John McCain was no longer there, and, and, and you got to admit, Lindsey was always in kind of in John McCain's shadow, and then he came up to the forefront. So, so now what's going to be next? Now what's going to be next? Well, Governor McMaster today at 4:00 will more than likely, and this is what we're hearing, and even President Trump has recommended this, that Governor McMaster, um, appoint Darline Graham Nardone as our, for lack of a better term, placeholder senator until we have an elected senator. That's going to happen. www.livemint.com We are also hearing that President Trump is set—now this is from FitzNews, here we go, this is, this is from Will Folks over there at FitzNews—after essentially instructing Henry McMaster on who to pick as the late Lindsey Graham's interim replacement, President Trump is now reportedly preparing to issue an endorsement in the August 11th special primary election for his seat. Now, here's what we're hearing. All of these names that you've been heard bandied around—Pamela Evette, Nikki Haley, Nancy Mace, Trey Gowdy, Ralph Norman—all, all of these names are not on that list of the person that who insiders are saying President Trump is getting ready to, to endorse, is Russell Fry. So I reached out to Russell Fry today, which we're going to try to get him on the program. Now when or if President Trump endorses in this race, um, that still remains to be seen. But who would you like to be, who would you like to see run in this special primary that we got coming up? Who would you like to see run? Now, now look at the difference. Look at the difference here between Republicans and the Democrats. Here in South Carolina, we just, we just lost our senior senator, Lindsey Graham. We're going to hold a primary. Up in Maine, their candidate, Graham Plattner, he backed out of his race because, you know, he's a deviant, and they're going to allow basically their, the, the Democrat Caucus is once again going to decide who that nominee is going to be to run against Susan Collins. You see, the Democrats always say that they're all about democracy. Well, we'll see. CBS News + 2 So they didn't have a, they, they didn't have a primary when Joe Biden dropped out. They appointed Kamala Harris. They're not going to have a primary now that Graham Plattner is, is, is dropped out. They're going to appoint him as well. So the party of democracy really isn't very democratic at all. But that's how we do it here in South Carolina. So, um, let me just check the text line. I want to see who you guys would like to see.
