(Cheers and applause) Charlie James: And today we are exercising our right to vote. Let's go to Robert in Chesnee. How you doing, Robert? Robert: Hey Charlie, doing good. I voted, I voted Carlyle Foster Grove Elementary School, and I was number 292, unfortunately. And that was just 25 minutes ago. Charlie James: Okay. Yeah, so close—closing in on 300. Robert: Closing in on 300. I've not been there—I've been voting there for over eight years, and I'm not used to seeing a huge turnout there anyway, except for possibly President Trump's last election. Charlie James: Yeah, yeah, the presidential elections always get the bigger turnout. I appreciate it, Robert. Thank you. Jesse is in Laurens. How you doing, Jesse? Jesse: I'm good, how are you? First time caller to your show. Charlie James: First time caller! (bell rings) There you go, man! What's up? Jesse: You're going to have to excuse my throat, that's a little bit sore, so you might not be able to understand me so well. Charlie James: No, you're—you're fine, sir. Thank you. What's up? Jesse: All right. I voted for Norman. And the reason I did that is because to me it was very simple. Although I don't—I don't think we got the best of the choice of candidates we could have had, but what we got is what we're going with. Every job I've ever held, and I haven't held very many in my lifetime—I think I had until I retired, three jobs... Charlie James: Uh-huh. Jesse: ...but one of the things they always ask me is: what is your experience? What is your education? And how are you going to help this employment you're seeking? Charlie James: Yeah. Jesse: So, what is my experience? I have to say what my experience is for me to be—for me to be able to get that job. And that's the only reason that I voted for Norman is because of the experience that he has. He has more experience in my view than some of the rest. Charlie James: So, you said you voted for him because, you know, there was nobody better. But is there anybody that you have in mind that would be better than Ralph Norman, or whomever, or any of these candidates? Jesse: No, I mean, and usually you go with what they put up there for you, and you—I mean, and if I did have somebody better, what, are they going to listen to me? Charlie James: I hope so! I hope they would! I appreciate it. Jesse: Yeah, I don't—I don't think that's going to work that way. I think they got in mind already who's running and all that. Charlie James: Yeah, I know. Jesse: But anyway, that's—that was my take on it. Charlie James: Well, thank you, Jesse. I appreciate it, buddy. Hope your throat gets better. Let's go to Carrie in Five Forks. Carrie, what's on your mind? Carrie: Hey! Yeah, I voted today in Five Forks at Guilds Creek, and I voted for Darlene. Charlie James: You voted for Darlene! All right, there you go. Was—I mean, would you mind just—I mean, what was—what made you, what made her resonate with you? Carrie: Um, I liked some of her policies. I always liked Lindsey, so, yeah. Charlie James: All right. Well... Well, how was the voter turnout, Carrie? Carrie: It wasn't—I was number 136. Charlie James: Okay. Carrie: And but that precinct there, it's really—there's never a lot of people. It's very small, yeah. Charlie James: Smaller. Right. Carrie: Only—only when people are voting for the president is there ever a line. Charlie James: Yeah, I know, right? That seems—always seems to be the case. Well Carrie, I appreciate it. ...
