What's on your mind? Jamie: Well, uh, I'm going to go back to your caller just a minute ago about the, um, (laughter) the spies that are going to watch—be watching everything that we do. Yeah. Um, when I'm 70 years old, and when I was, um, in high school, I was doing a report on NASA. And I had a relative that worked for NASA, and he came up to visit us and brought me, you know, a lot of paperwork, um, to help me with the project I was working on. And he ended up telling us that at that point in time, uh, that there were satellites that were in space that had, um, the ability to pinpoint a certain target, and that they could fine-tune it to where they could read the numbers on a license plate on the car. Charlie James: Yeah! Yeah! Jamie: Yeah. Charlie James: And they're even better now. Jamie: Yeah. And that—so things like that are not as far-fetched as they sound. Charlie James: No. No, you're exactly right, Jamie. Exactly. And it's scary, but here's the thing, though: We're even doing it to ourselves. Do you have Ring cameras? Do you have these home monitoring cameras? I've got them. I've got several. Basically, if you come on my property, you're recorded. But recently they started doing something. You see, it used to be, it would say, "Motion—garage—motion detected." And I knew exactly which camera it was talking about. "Oh, that's on the garage. Oh, look, oh, okay." "Front door—motion detected." And whatever other camera there was, it would say—it would just say "motion detected." Well, recently, uh, Ring has come up with this new AI feature. And they're getting extremely specific. Listen to this. This was, um, right about 1:00 this afternoon: "A person is walking on the lawn." Oh, okay. 12:40: "A person is bending down on the porch." I'm reading directly from Ring camera! "A person is bending down"—that was me, getting a package for my wife. "A person is running on the road." (Laughter) I love this one: "A person is standing on the porch with a stick." That was me, it was a golf club. Wasn't a stick, but okay. "A person is holding a broom and standing near a dog." That was me and Sophie—or was that Arty? That was Arty. That was me and Arty. And again, it wasn't a broom, it was a golf club. "FedEx delivery person is walking on the pathway." Fed—I don't know, how would they—because it's on the side of the truck, JJ! They can see it and they know it! They know that's a FedEx truck! "FedEx delivery person walking on the driveway." "Person is getting out of a pickup truck"—that was me. Um, "Person walking on the driveway." I love this one. Let's see: "Person walking a dog on a leash along the street." Let me see, there's another one: "Person is walking two dogs on the porch"—that was my wife taking the—the pups out. But this one, it was—it said, "A person..." Hold on. This one—this one just got to me. Um... "Person is..." I—it was something like, "Person is carrying a beige blanket." (Laughter) Now, it was a towel, it wasn't a beige... Yeah, "Person is shaking a beige blanket on an enclosed porch." That was me shaking out a towel, um, this weekend when I—when we washed the dogs. Um, but ag-again, I mean, it went from—and it will tell you, it will say, um, if a person is walking, or a person is jogging. "Charlie, my cameras recognize your face, and it'll tell you the person's name." That's (screams) That's crazy! Just let me know—I'll keep this between you and me—um, you let me know what kind of cameras you have. I'd like to know that. "Charlie, you better not go on the porch naked!" (Laughter) Again? No, thank you. I don't... (laughs) "Charlie, don't be walking around naked." Just something that don't happen. So, anyway, these things are getting extremely specific. They really are.
