Full Transcript (Hour 4, Segment 2) Charlie James: All right, let's go to Robert in Edneyville. How you doing, Robert? Robert: I'm doing good, Charlie. How are you today? Charlie James: I'm good, man. What's up? Robert: I'm just going to tell you... I mean, you think about this Whatley, Michael Whatley there, running against Roy Cooper. They got one criminal against Michael Whatley. Look how many criminals Roy Cooper let out of prisons here in North Carolina to run and go back out on the street. Charlie James: Do you know—do you know what Ro- what Roy Cooper said, I believe it was this weekend? He said people were upset that he didn't release more prisoners. Robert: Yeah, well that's only because that they're kin folks or something. Charlie James: Yeah, prob- I I don't believe that. Not one little bit. You think the people of North Carolina want more criminals out on their streets? Robert: Well, no, I would do believe some of them do, the way they elected—voted him in there. I don't even know how they let his butt in there. And sure as hell he shouldn't be a senator in North Carolina. Michael Whatley's a lot better pick. And I'm going to vote for Michael. Charlie James: There you go. All right, Robert. Robert: People better vote... Hey, take care, Charlie. Charlie James: All right, buddy, I appreciate it. Let's go to Vinnie in Boiling Springs. Vinnie, what's on your mind? Vinnie: Ah, happy Monday to you, Charlie. Hey, I had a question. Have you guys thought about, uh—you see, I used to live in South Florida, and I used to listen to a radio station, 105.9, and whenever they did their stunts out there, they'd—they'd hold a, uh... their broadcasting from like a Wings, etc., or, uh, a place similar to that, and they'd broadcast from there. Now, I don't know, for WORD, between now and the time the election pops up, might want to consider hitting the East Coast—Myrtle Beach, Charleston... and stuff, and just broadcast from one of those, because this brings in a lot of people, especially on Friday and Saturday nights... like Hard Rock Cafe, think about it. And something that you guys could set up and do the broadcasting from there, and just do your thing, and you can throw in a little bit of music, too. But on the same note, it would—it really, I think it would get the word out to those areas that only get the suppressed areas, where you guys can really talk and hit those areas where that, uh... uh, Dr. Jekyll versus Hyde, you know, is predominantly favored in—in those areas, the beach. You get that word out so they hear the other side of the spectrum they're not getting. Charlie James: Yeah, you're exactly right. And that's—that's—that's a shame. That's a shame, Vinnie, I appreciate it. Let's go to Mark in Taylors. Mark, welcome. Mark: Hey, Charlie. Charlie James: Hey, bud. Mark: I was just reading a—I was just reading a text message that the Republicans leader, John Thune, and all the Republicans in the Senate have relin- re- relinquished themselves from Ken Paxton in Texas. They will not give them—give him any money for his campaign. Charlie James: Yeah. Well, I think—well, because they—they didn't budget any money for Ken Paxton. Mark: That was for Texas, right. Charlie James: Yeah, budgeted no money whatsoever. Mark: Right. So, that's Cowardly Co., that dumb—dumb-butt, you know what... What is wrong with... I'm—I'm—I'm disgusted with Republicans, I'm sorry. Charlie James: Yeah. Yeah, I understand. I understand, I appreciate it, Mark. Let's go to Steve—uh, my buddy Steve down in Charleston. What's going on, man?
