Charlie James: All right, welcome back to the program. Uh, let's go to Chris in Six Mile. How you doing, Chris? Chris: Good. How are you? Charlie James: I'm good. What's up, man? Chris: Uh, just watching the debate last night, there was one question that was asked that I personally think they got all wrong, and I could be wrong... Charlie James: Okay. Chris: ...but let me preface this by saying I support Trump. I voted for him every time his name's been on the ballot. But the question came up of, "Would you support Trump's agenda, or do what's best for South Carolina?" And they all stated, "Support Trump's agenda." Charlie James: Okay. Chris: I didn't—I didn't know that's what we sent them there for. We send them there to support the interests of South Carolina. Charlie James: But I don't have a problem, I mean, with things going the way they are right now, I don't have a problem with a senator supporting the President's agenda. Chris: Well, what if it's to the detriment of South Carolina? Charlie James: I—well, that's not going to happen. Chris: Well, I mean, you—you never know. I'm just saying, that was—that was, it just shocked me the way they answered the question, that, you know, there was no balance there. It was all, "We're 100% behind the Trump agenda," which I'm 100% behind the Trump agenda. But I'm a South Carolinian also, that is looking out for the interest of this state. And in my opinion, that's what our senator should be doing, also. Charlie James: All right. Well, I appreciate it, Chris. Thank you. Let's go to Marie in Blacksburg. Marie, welcome. Marie: Hey. Charlie James: Hey! Marie: [laughter] Um, I'm going to be honest, I haven't been able to keep up with all the politi- the politicians and who has—who stands for what. And I've been so busy, [laughter] to be honest, this summer to even—to even check, and I didn't—I—and I missed the, um, debate last night. Charlie James: Yeah. Marie: So, my question is, can you run down—and it's my first time really listening to your station, to be honest with you. Charlie James: Oh! Marie: So, can you—can you run down the—the stats on them? So, I'm still undecided, I'm not sure who to vote for. I do know that I'm not voting for, um, I'm sorry to say, but I'm not voting for the sister. Charlie James: Okay. Marie: So, I'm not—I do know I'm not going to vote for her. But as for anybody else, can you kind of, um, run down the stats and, you know, you don't have to be, you know, one-sided to the other. Just give me—give me the full thing. I want the honest opinions on—the honest things on everybody so I know about where I can stand on my beliefs and stuff, and, you know, where I'll need a vote. Charlie James: All right, I will do that. Are you going to be able to watch the debate tonight? Marie: Hopefully, yes. Charlie James: Okay. All right, well, I tell you what, watch the debate tonight, and if you still have questions, why don't you give me a call back tomorrow, and we'll run it all down for you, okay? Marie: Okay. Thank you. Charlie James: Thank you, Marie. I appreciate it, thank you. Let me go to Dee in Thomasville. How you doing, Dee? Dee: Doing good, Charlie. How are you, my friend? Charlie James: I'm really good. What's going on with you, man? Dee: Listen, on the—on the debate last night, I—I'm with you that, uh, uh, you know, because of the, uh, 45-second time constraints on their responses, uh, and the short time limit, uh, they probably didn't change many, uh, people's mind as far as, uh, other than, uh, the—the candidate that they'd already, uh, resolved to, uh, vote for. Charlie James: Right. Dee: Um, but, uh, uh, I'll just say my—my opinion, I, uh, uh, in which might be a little prejudiced for, uh, Ralph Norman, but I think that he carried the, uh, uh, the debate in that he—his responses were—came across to me as being, um, the most unscripted and, uh, uh, earthly, uh, of, uh, the candidates, uh, that were on—on it, uh...
