Charlotte city leaders to address juvenile crime crisis: Monday, March 4, 2024

The discussion comes after a 17-year-old was shot and killed Friday night outside of a north Charlotte restaurant. At this time, police are still searching for a suspect connected to that incident. Now, once again, a city council committee will discuss ways to try to reduce youth violence and crime.The city of Charlotte's Housing, Safety and Community Committee will provide feedback on a proposed approach to youth and stakeholder engagement.
