Charlotte coach arrested for indecent liberties with student-athlete

A former Charlotte coach has been accused of an inappropriate relationship with one of his student-athletes, the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department announced late Wednesday night.Matthew Elliott, 39, was charged with two counts of indecent liberties with a female student who was on his cross country team at Charlotte Country Day School.The victim told investigators Elliott flirted with her and made numerous advances, according to CMPD.
