Chase DeLauter’s Hot Streak Powers Guardians | Cleveland Guardians News

Chase DeLauter is on fire since returning from a rib injury, slashing .333 with 3 doubles, 1 homer, and 7 RBIs in 8 games — a vital spark for Cleveland as José Ramírez and Angel Martínez remain sidelined. He crushed a 425-foot homer against a lefty — his first since May 17th — and is now hitting .345 in his last 14 games, making solid contact with authority. DeLauter’s focus: hit the ball hard, not high, and he’s adjusting to pitchers’ tactics by attacking all fields. Manager Stephen Vogt raves about his improved contact and mental game. For a player who’s battled injuries, this resurgence is a major reminder of his potential — and the Guardians are riding his momentum.
