That’s reality for most of us. Nevertheless, many of us need to ask ourselves how much is enough. There’s always a bigger house to build or buy. There are always nicer things to have , fancier clothes to wear, more exotic places to see, and more expensive food to eat. In itself , there’s nothing wrong with wanting more or better for ourselves and our families. But we must remember that these things in themselves do not bring us inner peace or wellbeing. And they are not a blessing if we aren’t using them to bless others. We mustn’t allow ourselves to become slaves to the chase for money, power, and material status. “The person who loves money will never have enough.” (Ecclesiastes 5:10)Let’s make sure we desire and pursue the things that matter. I’m Horace McMillon.
