Chasing Five Hundred DMs a Night
from The Check-In
Jeremy Cui runs J and J Apparel and reached out to people on social media directly to find clients. Jeremy Cui quit a financial consultant role at Deloitte after 3 years to start J and J Apparel, a clothing manufacturer in Melbourne. Cold outreach was not working. He sent around 500 DMs a night written by hand and heard back from only about 5. His website used to get one inquiry a month before he started posting reels. He hired a content team and filmed his first proper session on the day of this recording. Inquiries have jumped from one a month to about 80 in the past two weeks and the business has taken a huge turn in the right direction. He plans to keep posting founder led content with his new content team.
