Chasing Holiness - Part 2

from Journey Church Colorado Podcast · host Journey Church Colorado Podcast

Holiness is not about perfection, it is about purpose. I am called to holiness because I have been set apart for a life that God has for me. But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; for it is written: “Be holy, because I am holy.” 1 Peter 1:15-16 We are in part 2 of the teaching series, Chasing Holiness. A huge step in chasing holiness is developing habits of holiness. "The cost of good habits are today, the cost of bad habits comes tomorrow." Habits of holiness can revolve around 4 different areas. Our MOUTH (what we say). Our EYES (what we see). Our HANDS (what we hold on to). Our FEET (where we go). Which of these 4 areas would you say trips you up the most? To be holy is to belong to God. “Holy” or “Holiness” is not a word we hear often in our culture, yet it is used over 700 times in the Bible. The definition of “holy” is to be “separate, altogether different, set aside for God for a specific purpose.” Key verses: 1 Peter 2:9; Psalm 51:3-4; Matthew 5:29; Philippians 2:13; Psalm 139:23-34; 1 Timothy 4:7-8; Hebrews 12:1-2 Message notes online, watch the video, or share the podcast at: https://journeycolorado.com/messages/
