Chasing the Fireworks is a short bedtime story about Bauro, a boy from the island of Kiribati, and his best friend Blaze — a dragon with a love of colorful skies. When the two fall asleep before the New Year's Eve fireworks even begin, they wake up heartbroken. But Bauro hatches a clever plan: fly east across the international date line, where it is still New Year's Eve.
