Cheese Curds & Cattle: Previewing the GNTLA Great Northern Longhorn Classic & Cheesehead Futurity

Welcome back to From the Pasture with Hired Hand! We’re excited to bring you today’s episode all about the upcoming GNTLA Great Northern Longhorn Classic and Cheesehead Futurity, held in Gresham, Wisconsin. Now in its 9th year, this event has grown from a small, local gathering into a highly anticipated weekend for Longhorn breeders across the country.We’re joined by sale hosts Dan Huntington and Ali Mast, who share the story behind the event’s growth and what’s in store this year. The weekend kicks off on Friday, July 25th with the Cheesehead Futurity, followed by a classic Midwest Fish Fry that evening. Then on Saturday, July 26th, the fun continues with the Little Cheesers Haltered Show at 9am, Brunch and Awards at 10, and the Great Northern Longhorn Classic at noon.And of course, it wouldn’t be Wisconsin without cheese curds!
