Chef Jerome Grant was the leader of the restaurant at the Black Smithsonian and it was an amazing extension of the museum where you could eat food from each of the four major African-American culinary traditions. Sweet Home Cafe was one of my favorite parts of the NMAAHC. Now he’s the executive chef at Jackie in DC. We talk about running the Sweet Home Cafe and Black culinary traditions and the way to take your fried chicken up a notch.
