Chelsea

from Nick Pim Hosted by Nick Pim

This music is kinda folk funk. It's ultimately Adult Alternative, but definitely not David Gray. It's hopeful but sloppy and needs to shave. It's peeved but isn't gonna say anything. Nick Pimentel's cousin, Dustin, drove up to Portland for a weekend. They sat down, smoked many bowls, and tried to record as many of Nick's tunes possible. Nick's longtime collaborator and The Goddamn Band's bassist, Leif Christiansen, sat in for some hours. Everything was basically recorded just drums and guitar and then all else was dubbed later. Of the ten songs accomplished, they've chosen to release these four. Dustin likes listening to Tool, Sleepytime Gorilla Museum and other stuff. Nick likes Alt-J and The Grateful Dead. We all spend a lot of time in chairs. Our body use suffers. But, now that we have the option, we'll never choose not to.
