Chelsea Eyeing Smart Left-Back Chavarria

Chelsea is reportedly eyeing 28-year-old left-back Pep Chavarria from Rayo Vallecano as a savvy, affordable solution to fill the void left by Marc Cucurella’s move to Real Madrid. With a new era potentially underway under Xabi Alonso, the Blues are prioritizing experienced depth and versatility—Chavarria’s ability to play both defensively and advanced midfield roles makes him a perfect fit. Having featured in 44 games last season and even reaching the Conference League final, he’s proven his value. Talks are already underway, signaling Chelsea’s shift toward smarter, more practical signings that deliver immediate impact without the sky-high price tag.
