Chelsea Walton (Part 1) - The road to becoming a head stockman and learning from mistakes

Hey CC babes, welcome to your weekly dose of all things cowgirl!! Today Chelsea Walton joins Bell to share her journey of entering into the Northern cattle industry and working her way to head stockman of the weaner camp at Killarney Station, NT. Chelsea shares what her childhood was like growing up in town and how that shaped her resilience and determination to work hard, from droving as a 15-year-old when drought hit to doing her mechanic apprenticeship during school. She opens up about making questionable decisions and learning from them and what ultimately led her to saying yes when she was offered the position of head stockman at the age of 21. Chelsea talks candidly about often resulting back to anger when she was first given that leadership role and what she did to better herself as a leader, admitting that it wasn't something that came naturally. From wrangling a team of working dogs with no former experience to tackling people skills, this chat will surely give you a laugh.
