Chelsea’s Big Move & Fernández Standoff | Chelsea F.C. News

Chelsea’s transfer window is heating up as they reportedly agree to a £7.5m deal for Aston Villa’s star goalkeeper Emiliano Martínez, who’s out of favor at Villa and set to sign a two-year contract with an option. This move puts current Chelsea keeper Robert Sánchez’s spot in serious jeopardy, potentially forcing him into a sale or loan before the window closes — especially with young Mike Penders also vying for the No. 1 jersey. Meanwhile, Manchester City are rumored to be circling Chelsea’s midfielder Enzo Fernández, who’s eager to leave after being left out of recent matches, but Chelsea are holding firm, refusing to sell on unfavorable terms. On the flip side, Aston Villa have landed their own big-name signing: German veteran Leon Goretzka, arriving on a free transfer from Bayern Munich to bolster their midfield.
