1984年1月10日に札幌市豊平区で発生。当時９歳だった城丸秀徳くんが失踪し、その後新十津川町の民家の納屋で遺骨が発見された。警察は失踪当時、被害者宅の近くに住んでいたA子を逮捕起訴したが、裁判で黙秘を貫き、証拠不十分で無罪判決となった。DNA検査や防犯カメラなど現在のテクノロジーがあれば、有罪になっていたのでは？と言われている事件。
