Cherry Picking - FT#22

In the twenty-second episode we explore the Cherry Picking Fallacy, with examples from Trump talking about unemployment, poverty and those violent illegal immigrants. In Mark's British Politics Corner we look at both sides claiming a kind of victory in the 2017 general election, and, of course, Brexit. In The Fallacy in the Wild, we check out examples from 'Iron Man 2' and Christianity (by way of a clip from 'The West Wing') as well as Monty Python's Life of Brian. Jim and Mark go head to head in a game of Fake News, the game where Mark has to guess which of three Trump quotes Jim made up. And finally we talk about Bill Barr's summary of the Mueller Report (with a hat tip to the Opening Arguments Podcast), and round up some of the other crazy Trump stories from the past week.
