Cherry Pie Gets Second Life Through Karaoke

Warrant’s “Cherry Pie” is exploding in popularity thanks to a surprise karaoke cameo in the hit show “Off Campus,” sending streams from 20K to 2 million overnight. Guitarist Erik Turner was stunned by the viral wave—his wife’s phone flooded with messages from fans—and while he doesn’t see a full hair metal revival, he’s thrilled to see younger audiences discovering the band. He recalls a similar, smaller surge from “Guitar Hero II” and beams about the electric energy of live performances where fans sing along—proof that music’s power to connect across generations is timeless.
