The Son and the Scriptures
Immanuel Lutheran Church Macomb, MI
The Son and the Scriptures will study the first five books of the Bible (the Torah) using ancient rabbinic, Christian, and modern Messianic interpretations to reveal Jesus in the books of Moses. It will be like walking the Emmaus Road with the Master himself where “beginning with Moses and with all the prophets, he explained to them the things concerning himself in all the Scriptures.” (Luke 24:27).Find your Messiah in places you never expected as you discover him through Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy according to the weekly Bible lectionary portions that are read in synagogues all over the world. “And their eyes were opened and they recognized him…And they said to one another ,‘Were not our hearts burning within us…while He was explaining the Scriptures to us?’” (Luke 24:31–32)
