Chi Omega Murders: The Night Campus Safety Went Dark

This episode examines the chilling 1978 Chi Omega sorority house murders that shattered Florida’s campus safety, the mysterious disappearance of Washington State University student Georgann Hawkins in 1974, and the final kidnapping‑murder of seven‑year‑old Kimberly Leach. We explore how forensic clues—from bite‑mark analysis to fingerprints and DNA—combined with witnesses, confessions and investigative perseverance to secure convictions amid contested attributions, multiple escapes, and a media frenzy, while keeping focus on victims and the evidence that ultimately closed or left questions open.
