They had great successful disco songs like “I Want Your Love” (1978) & “Good Times” (1979). Chic was nominated for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for the eleventh time. I’ve heard their music all my life.I Want Your Love is a song that comes from Chic’s studio album C’est Chic (1978).Good Times is a song from their third album Risqué (1979).When I hear the music of Chic, it makes me think about dancing and the days when everybody was roller skating or at the club.The song I Want Your Love reached number one on the Billboard Dance Club Songs chart in 1978 and number five on the R&B/Hip Hop songs chart in 1979. It also peaked at number seven on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1979 and remained on the chart for 19 weeks.Good Times reached #3 on the disco chart. It reportedly sold more than 5 million copies, making it, at the time, the best selling 45 rpm single in the history of Atlantic Records. Billboard magazine named Good Times the number one soul single of 1979.
