Chicago area victims of July 27th storms can apply for low-interest loans

​The loans through the U.S. Small Business Administration will provide qualifying homeowners, renters, businesses and certain nonprofit organizations with assistance for damages caused by the July 27th storms not covered by insurance. ​The disaster declaration includes the counties of Cook, DuPage, Grundy, Kane, Kankakee, Kendall, Lake, McHenry and Will---as well as Lake County, Indiana. People can apply for a low-interest loan online at sba.gov/disaster.
