This week on The Bus Stop Blues, Road Bill and Kevin “Shoeshine” Purcell welcome Chicagoland’s own Heather Moran — jazz vocalist and frontwoman for Bluewater Creek — for a deep-dive conversation about her musical roots, current projects, and road stories. This episode is packed with soul, blues, and rock classics, plus a few surprising twists along the way. We also take a moment to correct the record on last week's Derrick Procell track “The Wolf Will Howl Again,” which features unreleased demo vocals by the late, great Eddie Shaw in a touching posthumous duet. Featured Artists Include: Chris Duarte, Derrick Procell, Julie London, Nina Simone, Blue Swede, Björn Skifs, Rufus & Chaka Khan, Grand Funk Railroad, Susan Tedeschi, Crosby, Stills & Nash — and possibly a little Billy Vera and Leon Russell if time allows!   📡 Listen Live: Sundays 7-9 PM CST on 98.3 FM – The Life 💻 Stream It: 983thelife.com or Twitch @983thelife 🎙️ Podcast Available On: Spotify, Apple Podcasts, iHeartRadio & more 📬 Contact Us: [email protected] 🌐 New Website: thebusstopblues.com Follow us on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter — and don’t forget to punch your ticket and take your seat.
