I really enjoyed this conversation with Dr. Luisa Sanz. Her insight into mental health and the struggles we have to normalise anxiety and other issues is amazing.After working in psychiatry for over 25 years, Dr. Sanz has recently launched a personal project, Mind Yr Life, for the purpose of sharing credible information surrounding mental health, showing people that they are not alone, building community, and – most importantly – eradicating stigma surrounding mental health. Dr. Sanz embarked upon this journey as an expert in the field, but also as someone who has been intimately impacted by mental health struggles. She grew up with two brothers who suffered from schizophrenia. While she lived her entire early life in fear of violence and unpredictability in her home, she also watched her brothers be judged, cast out, and led down by society.  Hosted on Acast.
