He's not Abraham yet and Moses hasn't been given the Law yet. It seems like he just pulled the number out of thin air. Q2 Can more books be added to The Bible? Q3 What do you think of it? Is “Come Out in Jesus’ Name” Biblical? Q4 I really do enjoy reading the Bible but my biggest stumbling blocks are usually in the Old Testament. I’ll read at a pretty good pace for a while, but when I hit things like the measurements for the Temple and Chronicles genealogies, it becomes a chore to read at that point. I don’t understand a lot of what I’m reading or why it should matter to me. Am I missing something important in these OT scriptures? Q5 Do you have tips on how to respond to questions about pronouns if you’re a Christian? While we all know this question will become more commonplace, I am not prepared to answer it. Q6 We raised our children in Christ and the Church and they were baptized as teenagers. When they were in college they turned their backs on the faith and have been living carnal lifestyles for the last several years. Our hearts are broken. Besides prayer, what suggestions do you have for parents when a child turns their back on God? Q7 1 Thessalonians 5: 23 it says: Now may the God of peace himself sanctify you completely, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. What is the difference between spirit and soul? Q8 What your thoughts are regarding Kim Clement and his prophecies? Are modern day prophets real? Q9 In reading about Jesus rising from the dead, His body seemed to allow Him to move through walls and appear in different places. Does the Bible give us any clues about what our resurrected Christian bodies will be like? Q10 A friend put up a post thanking God but spelling it G-d. Another friend who is Jewish thanked her for spelling it that way. What does G-d mean? Q11 In Matthew 6:15, Jesus makes a point of saying that if we refuse to forgive those who sin against us, our father will not forgive our sins. If a Christian refuses to forgive someone who has hurt them, or “sins against them,” and then dies, will unforgiving Christians go to hell? Q12 I loved Easter Sunday's teaching and who the disciple was that Jesus loved being Lazarus. In John 21:2 who is the disciple bearing witness about these things? if John wrote the book of John and describes himself as the disciple then why wouldn’t he be that disciple throughout the whole book of John? Q13 We had a great discussion at small group & several of us/our group members sit on the DEI councils at our jobs in order to bring in our perspective & to make room for Christians to be respected for their beliefs.
