In Week 2 of our Childlike series, we explore one of the most powerful and misunderstood truths of the Christian faith: grace and forgiveness. While we’d never look to children for models of success, teamwork, or finances, Jesus tells us that when it comes to entering the Kingdom of God, we must come with faith like a child (Mark 10). Why? Because children instinctively understand grace. They know what it means to be forgiven, restored, and loved—not because they earned it, but because it was given. In this message, we unpack the simple yet life-altering truth a child believes so easily: “My God forgives me.” This sermon challenges us to stop trying to add to God’s grace, stop living in shame and condemnation, and start living from the freedom Christ has already purchased for us.
