children of immigrants

from The Whole Soul · host Claudia Bykowski

I feel that it's deeply true for children of immigrants to feel more isolated, lonely, & out of place relative to a child who is born into a family who is already integrated into the national culture... And it's not something I've heard many people talk about, so I took it upon myself to share my experience growing up as a child of two immigrants, the challenges I experienced growing up, the impact on who I am today, & shedding light for those who may feel lonely or isolated. It's something I see as a big blessing now, when I used to see it as a "curse"... and I made it a part of myself that I deeply rejected and didn't accept. Whether you are a child of an immigrant/s or not, my prayer is that this topic may shed light, love, and awareness around a reality that many experience, but don't even have words to name the feelings, like I once didn't know how to.Make sure to rate the podcast & send to a friend who you know would benefit from this episode <3Connect with me on socials!! 🫶🏼Instagram: @claudia.izabella @wholesoulpodcastTikTok: @claudiaizabellaaJoin the Whole Soul Collective 🌿https://www.skool.com/whole-soul-collective/about
