Hi everyone so in this podcast I am accompanied with my friend Rafindra. We talked about historical simillarities between Indonesia and Chile regarding both authoritarian leaders: Soeharto and Pinochet. Furthermore we discussed the role of the US within the context of the Cold War in these countries in regards to the “eradication” of the left and establishment of these leaders, specifically on the Jakarta Method. Lastly, we connected those history with current social movement in Chile and Indonesia— the protest in Chile and the anti Omnibus Law movement in Indonesia.
