Chillicothe High School's Keys to Success

from WBEX-AM Podcast

Debbie Bettendorf with Chillicothe High School's Keys to Success program (K2S) and Greg Phillips a CHS faculty member and point man for the Drug Free Clubs of America (DFCA) at the school. Keys to Success was a combined effort of CHS alumni Gary VonKennel, Bill Herrnstein and City Schools administrators. The program requirements for students include voluntary random drug testing, maintaining good grades and staying out of trouble with the law. The program was expanded to include all high school grades. In spring of 2017, a brand new Dodge Dart will be awarded to a student. More students have signed up to participate in the incentive program in its second year. The K2S and DFCA program combined this summer and Phillips says the membership has risen above 50% of the CHS student body. For those wishing to help with the programs, simply call CHS 740-702-CAVS (2287).
