China denies claims of US election interference | ABC News Top Stories

The Chinese embassy in Washington says "China has never and will never interfere in the presidential elections of the U-S". It's in response to President Donald Trump's national address today, in which he repeated claims the 2020 election -- which he lost -- was rigged, despite multiple lawsuits and government agencies failing to find evidence of widespread fraud or manipulation. Experts say he could be laying the groundwork to challenge the results of the midterm elections, which are just four months away, and in which Republican control of Congress is at stake. Telstra says its national outage last week was triggered by maintenance work that caused the system's clocks to go back two decades. CEO Vicki Brady and senior executives have been questioned in a Senate inquiry over the outage that disrupted business, transport, and access to Triple Zero. Ms Brady says Telstra had contacted 8-point-8 million customers, but not all would be eligible for compensation. and a large landslide in China's south-west, has trapped people under rubble and damaged residential buildings. The landslide took place in Chongqing, on the banks of the Wujiang River, with footage verified by the ABC showing massive boulders lying over a buried roadway surrounded by collapsed buildings, including houses.
