China-Trump round II

On January 20th, Trump was sworn in as the 47th President of the United States, declaring that "the golden age of America begins right now". Han Zheng, Chinese President Xi Jinping's special representative and Vice President of China, attended the inauguration ceremony, marking the first time for a senior Chinese official to participate in a U.S. presidential inauguration. Just days before the big event, President Xi spoke with Trump on the phone at the latter's request and both leaders expressed the hope that ties would get off to a good start in Trump's new term. How will the world's two largest economies handle their relationship? How will this impact the rest of the world, particularly the Global South?
