China’s Military Parade, the Department of Defense Rebrand, President Trump Sending Federal Troops to Chicago and New Orleans, & More

Get ready for another great edition of America in View! On this week's show, Brett and Matt discuss the August jobs report, China’s military parade, the Department of Defense rebranding to the Department of War, the U.S. strike on a drug boat from Venezuela, betting market numbers on the next presidential election, and more. They also take a deep dive into the potential problems of sending in federal troops to crime-ridden cities like Chicago and New Orleans. A few weeks ago, they discussed the Trump admin taking over the D.C. police and how that’s a different animal because it is a federal district. But recently, Trump has tossed around deploying federal law enforcement to some blue cities to re-establish law and order. Brett and Matt discuss the historical reasons why America’s military forces have not been used for domestic law enforcement and the issues that could arise if future White Houses do not have the same conservative priorities of today.
