Chisme #55 " The Importance of Breathwork as a form of self-healing| Kathy Rivera

from Chisme That Matters Podcast · host Chisme that Matters

One of the most basic things to do is to breathe and some of us don't know how to do it sometimes.  When we feel angry, anxious or even stressed, our breath can be our self healing medicine but we are not using it properly. This is why it is important to have people like Kathy Rivera, whose work is to guide and give us the tools we need to live a healthier nd balanced life.  On this chisme we talk about her journey and how she started her work, and she gives us some breathing exercises to use on a daily basis and feel more grounded.  Kathy is a Trauma-Informed Wellness Practitioner, a heart-centered entrepreneur, and queer bruja who has an extensive background in healthcare and wellness. She’s a certified Yoga Teacher, Breathwork Guide, Behavior Change Specialist, and Reiki Healer, who’s taught a variety of yoga classes from Hatha/vinyasa, chair yoga for seniors, and SUP yoga, along with breathwork circles throughout Fort Lauderdale, FL, and Woodbridge, VA.
