Choosing admiration over jealousy

A reflection inspired by a book review from Eiji Doi. He writes that people who feel jealous of someone’s glamorous success may not enjoy the book—but those who think “Maybe I can grow too” will find real value in it.It reminded me that the same success story can feel like poison or inspiration depending on how we see ourselves.Rather than letting jealousy cloud things, I want to choose admiration and curiosity. This episode is about noticing which reaction shows up in us when we see someone doing well—and what that reveals about our own hopes.
