Differentiating from conventional punk chiefly because of the explicit political messaging contained therein, but also because of some incredible musical experimentation by many of its acts, this flourishing underground scene threw up real gems all but unknown to the mainstream. This eighteen track collection gathers up just a handful of them, with tracks by Poison Girls, Flux Of Pink Indians, The Ex, Chumbawamba (long before ‘Tubthumping’!), scene godfathers Crass, and many more.
