ROB & JEREMY interview CHRIS SLADE Chris Slade had an incredible career in music spanning 6 decades! Chris is from Wales and grew up 6 miles from where Tom Jones grew up.  So it only was right that Chris became Tom Jones drummer (Chris was on Tom's first 6 albums including LIve in Vegas) Chris went on to form Manfred Mann's Earth Band (Blinded by the Light) ... was asked to join a new supergroup THE FIRM (in the 80s with Jimmy Page & Paul Rodgers), was in ASIA, URIAH HEEP...  ... and one of the greatest bands of all time ... AC/DC.  Chris was on their RAZOR'S EDGE album which he played drums on the legendary song Thunderstruck!  He also recorded "big gun" for the Swartzenegger movie "Last Action Hero".  He joined AC/DC on their ROCK or BUST world tour in 2015. He was in AC/DC up until 2020 when Phil Rudd rejoined. We only had about 35 minutes to talk to Chris so we couldn't cover his whole career (who could) but we got to talk drum technique, auditioning for AC/DC, being asked to join The Firm and other stuff including who makes the best tea and if Chris could go back in time where would it be and when? Also hear Chris' response when Jimmy Page told him (while recording with Tom Jones) what he was going to call his next band ... you may have heard of them? A good fun interview!
