Chris Volpi - COP Keating

Some stories about war are told by historians. This one is told by a man who was there. In this episode of The 850 Podcast, I sit down with U.S. Army Infantry veteran Chris Volpi to hear his firsthand story of serving at Combat Outpost Keating (COP Keating) in Afghanistan. Located in the mountains of Nuristan Province, COP Keating became the site of the Battle of Kamdesh on October 3, 2009, when hundreds of Taliban fighters attacked the isolated American outpost. Eight U.S. soldiers were killed and 27 were wounded during one of the most intense battles of the war in Afghanistan. #COPKeating #BattleOfKamdesh #Afghanistan #USArmy #Infantry #CombatVeteran #Veterans #MilitaryPodcast #The850Podcast
