Gospel Love (vv.1-3)   Gospel Conscience (vv. 4-5)   God’s will for you is that you be:   Saved (1 Tim 2:3-4) Spirit-filled (Eph. 5:17-20) Sanctified (1 Thess. 4:3) Submissive (1 Pet. 2:13-15) Suffering (1 Pet. 2:20-21)   Saying thanks (1 Thess. 5:16-18)   Psa. 37:4-5 4 Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. 5 Commit your way to the Lord;  trust in him, and he will act.   Gospel Glory (vv. 6-8)   2 Cor. 5:15 and he died for all, that those who live might no longer live for themselves but for him who for their sake died and was raised.   Self-Examination Questions for turning grey to black and white:   “ All things are lawful (or permissible) for me,” but not all things are helpful.” (1 Cor. 6:12a). Question of Conscience: Is it helpful – physically, spiritually, and mentally? “All things are lawful for me,” but I will not be dominated by anything.” (1 Cor 6:12b). Question of Conscience:  Does it bring me under its power? “Therefore, if food makes my brother stumble, I will never eat meat, lest I make my brother stumble.” (1 Cor. 8:13). Question of Love:  Does it hurt others? “So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.” (1 Cor.10:31). Question of Glory:  Does it glorify God?
