Christ Is Here Our Salvation | 3,650 Minutes of Prayer

from Psalms23Wave · host Mathew Sekanjako

This is Day Sixty Six of 3,650 Minutes of Prayer. Today, we journeyed through Hebrews 6, focusing on the urgent call for believers to move toward spiritual maturity. We spent our time discussing the danger of turning back to old ways and the things we once left behind. The writer of Hebrews uses powerful language to remind us that when we willfully return to the sins we have been delivered from, it is as if we are nailing Christ back onto the cross. This is a call for a deeper experience with the Lord and a more profound understanding of His ways.We explored the true meaning of repentance, which is Metanoia, a complete change of mind and direction. We discussed how many Christians find themselves walking in circles, struggling with the same foundational issues when they are expected to be growing and producing fruit. We looked at Hebrews 6, 1, which urges us to leave the elementary principles and go on to perfection. We also reflected on the promise given to Abraham, reminding ourselves that God’s Word is an anchor for our souls, sure and steadfast. We concluded the day by going into a time of prayer, interceding for every believer to receive the strength to move forward. We prayed against the cycle of repetitive sin and asked for the Spirit of God to cultivate a deeper hunger for the things of the Kingdom. We declared that we are no longer bound by the old ways because Christ is here as our eternal salvation, leading us into the fullness of our inheritance.Interceding & Revelation Scriptures (NKJV)Hebrews 6, 1 "Therefore, leaving the discussion of the elementary principles of Christ, let us go on to perfection, not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God."Hebrews 6, 4 6 "For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened... if they fall away, to renew them again to repentance, since they crucify again for themselves the Son of God, and put Him to an open shame."Hebrews 6, 13 14 "For when God made a promise to Abraham, because He could swear by no one greater, He swore by Himself, saying, 'Surely blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply you.'"Hebrews 6, 19 "This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters the Presence behind the veil."2 Corinthians 5, 17 "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new."Read the whole of Hebrews Chapter 6.Word Study & Greek Hebrew InsightsMetanoia (Greek μετάνοια)Meaning a change of mind. This is the word used for repentance. It is not just feeling sorry for sin; it is a total transformation of how one thinks, resulting in a change of life and purpose. There is One true God, the Creator of all things, revealed in three persons; God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. There is One God and One Spirit Who has redeemed us all. I am Mathew Sekanjako, a believer in our Lord Christ Jesus (Yeshua HaMashiach), the one Son of God. I serve and confess God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. This interceding is offered in faith, in obedience, and in love, for all who will listen.
