Christ is Risen | Homily for Easter Sunday
from At the Lamb’s High Feast · host Fr. Timothy Eck
Homily for Easter Sunday on April 5, 2026. The empty tomb is not a place to remain but a sign that Christ has passed beyond death, and He is not found among the places of sin and regret where we continue to search. The Resurrection is believed before it is understood, for it does not merely restore what was lost but opens us to a new participation in the life of God. This life is not grasped by thought but received through encounter, as we leave behind the tombs and step forward to meet the Risen Lord. Mass Readings: First Reading: Acts 10:34a, 37-43 Psalm: Psalm 118:1-2, 16-17, 22-23 Second Reading: Colossians 3:1-4 or 1 Corinthians 5:6b-8 Alleluia Verse: cf. 1 Corinthians 5:7 Gospel: John 20:1-9 Links: Readings Link: https://bible.usccb.org/bible/readings/040526.cfm Site: https://verbumcaro.com/ YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@AttheLambsHighFeast
