Christenen tekenen manifest tegen extreem-rechts (23 september 2024)

Ruim 800 dominees hebben ’m inmiddels ondertekend: een verklaring die zich uitspreekt tegen extreem-rechts gedachtegoed, als reactie op de verkiezingsuitslag van november vorig jaar. De verklaring is opgesteld door Micha Nederland – een organisatie die het thema onrecht wil aankaarten binnen kerken – en krijgt dus veel bijval. Maar het manifest leidt binnen de kerken ook tot discussie. Is het goed dat dominees iets vinden van het politieke klimaat of moeten ze zich daar niet mee bemoeien?
