Father's Day: Like a knife repeatedly worked over a whetstone, fathers are to diligently sharpen their children with the word of God (Deut 6:4-9). Doctrine of One Another: Using the analogy of the human body (Eph 4:25), Paul teaches that although believers are different, we are unified in Christ, inextricably linked. We belong to one another and are to function as a team. With the affection and compassion of family members, we are to give preference to one another (Rom 12:5) and be like-minded (Phil 2:2).
