Christian by Convenience

Felix is curious about Christianity, but curiosity leaves his life untouched. When Paul speaks about faith in Jesus, righteousness, self-control and coming judgement, the Roman governor trembles as God's word exposes his sinful choices. God freely gives Christ's righteousness through faith, and His Spirit produces the self-control that true faith must show. Felix delays, hoping for a bribe and protecting his position, but delay itself becomes rejection. The right response is repentance and faith now. Bible Reference: Acts 24 Preacher: John Westendorp
